Bosque del Apache, Socorro, NM is spanish for "woods of the Apache". I went there to try my hand at wild bird photography as Bosque is the largest wild bird reserve in North America.
I was on the Flight Deck on this brisk, cloudy December morning. The birds had taken flight and most of the people had departed. My eyes, always searching for more, found this beautiful image in the waters that, just moments before, was blanketed with birds.
