Fall's Heartbeat

Fall's Heartbeat is a series of images from the same area in Kanawha State Forest, Charleston, WV.

I visited the forest a couple of weeks following my wife's death.  I was trying to find some meaning in all that had happened, moments alone looking for some sign.

I was leaving the forest when this area caught my eye.  A beautiful grove of trees with the leaves on one of the trees backlit by the sun.  Not only Fall's heartbeat, but a sign that Myriam's memory will continue to beat in my heart.
